Who we are ...
The Communications Cabling Association of Southern Africa
is an association registered in terms of Section 21 of the
Companies Act for companies that provide components and
services for the Information Technology infrastructure in
the "Physical layer" the first layer of the International
Organization for Standardisation's (ISO) Model. Our members
consist of Fibre and Copper cable manufacturers, IT
Hardware suppliers, IT Network Installers, Consultants and
IT End-Users.
Our objective is to promote the use of standards and
professionalism in the Information & Technology sector.
Our mission is to;
-ensure that all "Physical layer" installations and
components in Southern Africa comply with recognised
international standards particularly the (ISO) 11801 for
structured cabling;
-ensure that every member adheres to CCASA's Code of
Conduct for Installation Practise;
- we lobby relevant stakeholders on the growth and
development of our industry, transformation and other
issues that from time to time may affect the interest of
our members
